anyone have any experience with alpen scopes? in particular, the alpen kodiak 4-12x40? also, with their limited lifetime warranty? how does it compare with, say, a nicon 3-9x40 prostaff? same price range. i have a nicon 2-7x32 prostaff, for the $$, it's a great scope. i have it mounted on a stevens 200 '06, holds "0", no problems yet.

WHAT? No one even tried any Alpens yet? Susposed to be new outfite, must be really new, huh. Guess I best stick with Nicon, Bushnell, or Simmons. Could probably get some advice on those popular brands.

The reviews that I've read would lead me away from them.
