Yesterday I went back to the range to tweak my Sierra Gameking load after, lets call it Brand B bullets, gave me very little to be happy about. I increased the OAL to 91mm and tried 4 different loads in increments of 1/2grain.
I struck gold on the 68gr. The one "flyer" was my last (5th) shot. I am afraid I had the putting or trigger yips. Otherwise this target was a 'wallet target" for sure.

8shots, what brand of rifle is the 300h&h, the groups are fantastic.  200gr gameking should work for all but the largest of plains game, in my opinion i'd even use it on Eland.

The rifle has been re-barrelled on a Sako Action. The barrel is nothing special, made by a South African gunsmith. The action is pillar bedded and fitted with a Timney trigger.
The 200gr Sierras will comfortably take down all plains game, even eland. We mostly hunt kudu, which can be rather tough to take down. I prefer using the 200gr, knowing it leaves me some margin for error.
In 3 weeks I am going for Gemsbuck and impala. I know that if I do my part, the 200gr will knock a gemsbuck down, with room to spare.

Sounds like a ton of fun, can't wait to get to Africa, so many unique animals.
