Getting ready to purchase new bino's, has anyone had the chance to compare the vortex razor to the cabelas euro's in 10X42?

The Cabelas Euro is made by Meopta and is nothing more than the Meopta Meostar with different rubber armor and the Cabelas logo added. It is a very nice binocular. I thought it and the Vortex Razor were basically equivalent optically, but I haven't spent much time looking through the Meostar and I own the 8X42 Razor.
They have similar FOV numbers. Taking nothing away from the Meostar/Cabelas Euro, the Razor is lighter, has a better warranty, has better eyecup adjustability, and is about $100 less expensive, so I would personally go with the Razor. I think it may very well be the best deal going in premium binoculars. Either is very nice. Both have a very relaxed view. A lot comes down to whether you prefer the ergonomics of the open bridge design (Razor) or the solid hinge design (Meopta). I would handle both if possible and see which one feels better to you. If you can't locate a Razor in your local stores, it feels pretty much identical to the Burris Euro Diamond, and to an extent, the Swaro EL.

I think -cabelas- made a big mistake by not choosing to offer an 8x42 in Euro line, But maybe meopta said no?

I would agree with that as well, but, sales figures indicate that a 10X is more popular than the 8X.
