The 10x rear focus SS comes to mind.

Also, Millets got a new scope out that's in your price range you may be interested in.

Of what I see it kind of leaves me liking the Bushnell 4200.

I've got a 10X Super Sniper on one of my 700Ps, and a Bushnell Elite 3200 10X on the other and love them both. Either one will get you out to 800 yards just fine if you do your part. Others may prefer the bigger tube of the SS but the Elite, to my eyes, is just as good and cost $120.00 less. The only drawback with the Bushnell is the lack of parallax adjustment. It doesn't pose a problem unless you're shooting close. I do most of my shooting between 3 and 600 and it's got very very nice glass for being under $200.00. It has perfect tracking as well, another rarity in such an affordable model.

I understand that your budget allows you to spend more, just wanted to throw some ideas out there :) Good luck with whatever you get!

Nice stick, Sendero.

New 1911 in the avatar, Bomb Guy?? Thunbs%20Up

I'd still go with the Super Sniper. Mine has been terrific.
The ability to adjust parallax is important to me too.

Sendero, that 3200 with it's 1" tube have the "up" of the 30mm tubed SS?

Ewww ... Wooo .... where's the Nikon Monarchs and Burris scopes on that list ??? As with all the hype of rainguard ... they make this lil cloth that works great ... and cleans the lens at the same time . I've  been using one for a long time .... seems to be a selling point on here for bushnell .  I even use one on my sunglasses and goggles .

you had me goin there for a second, I asked myself wtf does he mean the bolts on the wrong side? LOL

CheapTrick, good question, and without doing research I can't answer. I haven't shot past 600yds so can't personally attest to elevation drawbacks on the 3200. We all know the SS is capable though :)

A friend used his 3200 10X @ 800 and if he had a problem with the "ups" he surely didn't tell me. I'll have to inquire next time we talk.

And Yes I adore my rifle as you do yours Big%20Grin

I like the Super Sniper 10x and have them on two rifles.  The 4200 scopes are awesome glass but I'm not sure why they bother to build a 3200 series when I look at the awesome 4200 scopes.  For the range it doesnt matter if you have a fixed or a variable but in the real world either hunting or defending yourself there is an advantage to having some lower powers. It can also be really nice to be able to see the holes in the target with a higher power scope like a 16x or 20x but those high powers dont let in much light in the evening so if you have a variable you dial it down as it gets dark out  with a fixed power what youve got is what youve got.
