Ok please give me something constructive to work with here. I have been eyeing the nikon monarch ucc 4-12 for 259 on her for about a week now how good are these scopes and how do they compare to the VX 3s? I want to put it on my 270 wsm I think the power setting is good for hunting out west where 300 yd shots can be a norm. But I dont want to worry if I do take it in extreme elements of say 0 degree temps and high elevations of Idaho and montana. I know I dont have to worry about my leupold and would assume this would be the same. I really want to order a custom VX 3 with a #4 ret but that would use alot of my budget and I want other toys right now.

i have taken my nikons to -25 during hunts and havent had a hitch yet, i like nikons as does cheaptrick, they make a good scope, the one area where leupold will beat nikon is cs dept, leupold's cs is spot on for sure.
