Tasco Sunshades

   Hi all.  I recently bought a Tasco 6-24x42mm Varmint scope.  I am trying to find sunshades for it but have been unsuccessful.  Can I use any brand sunshade that is made for a 42mm objective or do I have to get a sunshade that is made specifically for my scope?  Thanks in advance.

	You have to get a sunshade that is specifically made for a scope. We don't sell this particular scope, but I did some research on it as well. It looks like from this picture I found of it that it will not accept a sunshade of any kind. You may be searching for something that doesn't exist. Do you have the scope in your possession already? Look at the objective end and see if it's even threaded. Or call the people where you purchased it. They could tell you for sure.

	I do have the scope in my possession. The objective is threaded and that's why I figured there was a sunshade that would fit on it. I guess I should just call Tasco and ask them. Thanks.

	All scopes appear to be threaded for a sun shade but most are not. Those threads are actually for lenses and retainer rings. Of the three pictured here only one will accept a sun shade. Another thing to keep in mind is that most scopes made to accept a sun shade, come with a sun shade.
