have owned both, the monarch is a great scope, but the Zeiss is nicer

Thanks for your advise. What would you consider the better recticle for small varmint like rabbits etc, for holdover shots.
BDC (Nikon)
Mil Dot (Zeiss - Nikon)
.22lr ranges 35 - 50 - 75 - 90 yds
.22 WMR 50 - 75 - 100 - 125 - 150 yds
.17 Mach2 100 - 150 - 175 yds
Once again many thanks for you help in deciding.

Unless you have some kind of supercomputer for a brain, you're gonna get confused about which dot to use on whichever rifle you're holding at any given time.

There is a scope for sale on my UK forum.
IOR 16X42 Tactical with MP8 Recticle.

Is this too much mag for my requirements and is the price ok ?
I have another alternative which is putting my Kahles 3-9x43 Scope on the WMR & .17Mach2.

The MP8 is considered by many to be one of the best holdover/ranging reticles available, and I agree. It should make a great varmint reticle. 16x is an awful lot of magnification for under 150 yards though. If you're shooting stationary targets and can take your time, it should work fine. $560 doesn't sound too bad a price, but I personally wouldn't pay even half that unless I had a real solid guarantee of some kind that I could inspect and return it if not 100% pleased with it's condition.

Many thanks, I took your advise scope is in good shape, just a few small scuffs as you would expect on a working tool.
What made my mind up is that I do a lot of vermin control on a golf course, which means most of my shots are fired using Harris Bipod and sniping.
The scope was $500.00 delivered.
Many thanks
Danny
