March 3, 2008 will go down in the North Texas records books as having a high of 71 degrees and also as having an inch of snow on the ground.  We have a saying in Texas, "If you don't like the weather, just wait a minute".

I've heard similar sayings all over the world from Wisconsin to S. Africa, does your state have a similar saying?

We do here in Ga. We say wait 15 minutes. I have seen 2 inches fall and the temperature was 63, that was strange. It melted fast though.

Weirdest weather I ever saw was during a soccer game in highschool.  Started sunny, then began raining.  Turned to a thunderstorm with hail, then went to snow.  Good April weather there.  In Montana they say to wait 5 minutes and the weather will change.

Here in central Missouri it gets crazy sometimes. Beautiful morning, 50's by noon, 30 at 3:00 rain, sleet, ice starts 5:00 snowing 4" night temp at 10. Typical, we say it too.....Don't like the weather just wait a few minutes it will change. Whew, tornado just missed, snowing again, nope rain, nope sleet, nope, ice, nope whats the bright thing in the sky.....

I 44 is about 6 miles north of the house. I have watched tornados form up in between and head right up your way. It is always strange how close to I 44 the storms track.
