I would go with a mid-power variable like a Nightforce 2.5-10X24 if you can find one, if not the 2.5-10X32 would work fine. I had a Trijicon Accupoint 3-9 on my 6.8 for busting hogs and target shooting at 100yds and really liked it, I think it would be a good fit for this rifle as well. Enjoy.

Another scope to look at SWFA SS 3-9x42,good glass & very reasonably priced. If you can't deal with mildots, try a trijicon with the green triangle.....good luck

Under most circumstances, i recommend 1-4X on a SCAR; however, if hogs are on the menu, precise shot placement is very, very necessary - and I too would recommend more magnification.
The Nightforce would be great. Trijicons are great too, but anything bigger than the 3-9 would be too big on your gun. And, for hogs, you really want an illuminated reticle, so that drops the 3-9SS off the list. If an ACOG is in budget, the Nightforce 2-10 should be too, that would be my preferred scope for that particular gun. Edited by Rancid Coolaid - July/21/2010 at 10:48 |

I was able to test the rifle with an EOTech and a magnifier. That was a pretty sweet combo. I was pretty impressed with the EOTech without the magnifier also. After a little adjustment we where knocking over the metal disks at 300 yds. every time. Sweet shooting weapon, but damn is it loud. May have to get a suppressor.

Where in Texas are you?
I have a suppressor dealer that is good to go (north of Houston.) They are loud. My only issue with the EoTech/magnifier setup is that the magnifier magnifies the target AND the reticle. For rough work, it is no problem; however, if hog hunting is much of a priority, and given that the bullet is fairly small, I like more precise shot placement.. The EoTech is great for CQB and, with the magnifier, will definitely get the job done. |

I was shooting in SA a few weeks ago. You're on your own for suppressor dealer there.
Nagel's has decent stuff, but they sure are proud of it. |
