Howdy all.  First post here and I'm looking for a little feedback.

Picked up an FS 2000 and am looking for optics suggestions.  On paper at least, my personal favorite is the Elcan ATOS 3x sight.  Unfortunately I have never seen one in person and I really don't want to dump a ton of cash for one only to regret it later.  Since I've never had a chance to play with one, I'm also not sure if it will mount too high on the weapon or not.

Another obvious choice in the same price range is an ACOG.  But once again I'm not sure if it will also mount too high.

I'm not afraid to think outside of the box so let me know what your preferences would be and why.

Thanks!

When I went down to Kansas City a couple of days ago, The Badger Ordnance guy who works out of the same shop just recieved in a new Elcan scope I believe from the U.S. Navy for some special project.  George at GAPrecisison does a lot of highly specialised weapon systems and is the one in the know.   http://www.gaprecision.net/

ACOG is a great choice, Aimpoint would be too.

On the Elcan: it's heavy, good optics, it's very heavy, and it's made in Canada.  Damn Canucks ain't getting my money!
