Guess money can't buy happiness (he was at about 4 mil $ per year). I just hope they get a replacement that can generate some offense and tighten up the defense. This year we were pitiful to say the least.

Ya, it will be interesting to see who ends up in Gainesville, Ric.
UM was burn't out and it showed.
BS coach Chris Petersen's name has been thrown around. Now that would be wild, wouldn't it?
Talk about an explosive Gator offense!!! Imagine what he could do with all those weapons!

I suspect former Gator OC Dan Mullen gets a call, as well as Utah HC Kyle Whittingham (sp).
Both are former Meyer guys and Meyer said in his presser that he would be involved with the new hire, whomever he will be.

Standing by!!!!

Mark, I don't see Dan Mullen as the guy although he is an offensive genius. I also think Charlie Strong needs to stay in Louisville a bit longer... although he IS  a stand-up guy for sure. Time will tell. Some new recruits are wavering but I suppose it will all work out in the end. GO GATORS!!!

Yeah, they announced it on local news last night. Never saw that coming. I'll bet there are some pissed off Texas folks now. Whatever. Maybe he'll be fine...maybe not. Time will tell (no pun intended).

Well Ric, if nothing else, Addazio is down the road.  Big Smile

I think the Gator D will be fine, but we need a whiz-bang offensive coordinator to make this work.

Uh...not really what I had in mind when I said "whiz-bang".

Well, the defense "should" be great.  Big Grin

I jumped the gun on Applewhite. He's staying at UT....for now.
I'm not crazy about him being the OC.

Seems like we ought to be able to find some talented guy out there for OC...apple pie needs to stay in Texas.

Thanks, after reading your other thread I guess it's "bitter sweet" now.
