Hi everyone. I am a first time poster and I am looking for a opinion on the Celestron Up Close 10x50 wide angle binocular.

Is it worth buying? How are Celestron products in terms of quality and optics? I need the binoculars for concerts and sporting events.

I have Bushnell 7x35 powerview WA binoculars and I would like to add another pair of binoculars to my collection.

I am looking for opinons ( good or bad ) on the Celestron Up Close.

Forgive my skepticism but I don't think you can expect very much from a binocular that is selling new for $25 on the internet.

Secondly, 10x is too strong for concerts and sporting events, due to the narrow FOV & the higher magnification.  (unless you are viewing from the back of your pickup truck from about a mile away).

If you are looking to improve on the image quality  and the optics in comparison to your Bushnell 7x35mm I would recommend that you take a look through a Nikon Action Extreme ATB 7x35mm, or the 8x40mm in the same model.

Thanks bird watcher. The Nikon Action Extreme 8x40  has a nice field of view of 429 @ 1000 yards and a nice eye relief of 17.2 I will have to check it out.

good suggestions from bird watcher - the yosemine from leupold 6x30 is a great value as well - excellent glass.  Easy on the eyes as well.
