Doing some searching and coming up with the Burris Veracity 2-10x42 with bdc as being the lower priced decent scope out there.  Really liking the first focal plane thing.  I have a Minox za5 hd on my Tikka 300 win right now, thinking of switching over. Any thoughts? Is there a  better $500 FFP scope out there
Thanks in advance.

I am a Burris fan, but know nothing about the Veracity.
I do hunt with the SS 3-9x42 and think it is a great all around scope. The glass is quite nice, adjustments are reliable, the reticle is fine in low light when the power is turned up and it is a robust instrument. It is  a strong contender for the type of scope you are looking at in FFP.

Decided to go with the Burris Veracity 2-10-x42.  Should have it in a week or so maybe. I'll do a little report on it after spending some time with it.

I don't know anything about Burris scopes, but do commend both the choices of Tikka and 300WM.  I am a huge fan of Tikka T3 actions, and am now having custom guns built on the action: butter smooth, very tight tolerances, much more rigid than a 700 action.  And 300WM is, by far, my favorite caliber, very versatile, very hard hitting at reasonable ranges.

Good luck with the new scope.

Agreed, Tikka has by far out shot my other rifles. The 300 wm is my 2nd Tikka. My 3006 impressed me so much. Very smooth, and crazy accurate both.  Working on setting up the 300 for this years rifle season in north Missouri.  Trading my Minox for the Burris on here (swfa) with the ffp just to see how the ffp  works.  Thanks.
