If you shot in low light then yes. If not then not really.

I like the firefly in low light even without the glow feature activated.
Super heavy posts that blow away most all #4s, yet thin enough wires in the middle section for precision in good light.
Mine is a 2.5-10x40 Elite 4200 and is one of my very favorite hunting scopes.

Welcome to OT.

I was turned off by the firefly when I read that it only lasted 15 minutes between charges and trying to charge it during a hunt could be disastrous if your game shows up at the same timeWink.

Trijicon accupoint or Leupold VXR.

If money is an issue, you want to stay around $150.00- $300.00 and have to have illuminated:

Burris FF II

Mueller

But I would consider saving a bit first, you'll be happier in the end

The firefly doesn't illum in the center where you need it, suggest you go with Trijicon or Leu VX-R. Konus Pro Plus Illum is a good buy for the money if your on a tight budget.

My feelings exactly. I've "activated" the FireFly feature just for S's & G's" but never needed or wanted to for hunting. Great bold reticle all by itself.
