Well I finally got it the way I want it for now. It's an SAI Loaded with a Bushnell Elite 4200 3-9x40 scope. The rifle is in a USGI synthetic stock for now while I refinish the Boyds that it came in. Here is some late night gun porn (sorry for the low quality but its the best I can do for now): Here is my .22 I finally got back from my stepfather and cleaned up after years of neglect. Has an old Weaver variable on it I got from my father when I was a kid:

If I could own a semi-auto rifle (in this libs gone mad country) this is exactly what I would want.....jealous!

Thanks for the feedback.  Also thanks to this forum for pointing me in the direction of the 4200 3-9x40.  What a great scope for $250.
