Newbie question. Just curious - comparing two scopes with roughly the same magnification and objective lens size, if one has a larger ocular lens, would there be any advantage over the one with the smaller ocular lens? Would it have a wider field of view, or would there be a difference in eye relief that would cancel out any advantage? Would it affect exit pupil or brightness at all?
I ask because the Weaver V-24 I'm considering has a much smaller eyepiece than the Mueller I have now. Maybe it's because the Weaver has better glass and or coatings so it can be smaller and still transmit the same light.
