Figure 4:  Aimpoint   EOTech HWS   Trijicon

Figure 4 shows (6) unmanipulated reticle images of an Aimpoint M2, EOTech 552, and a Trijicon Reflex II in an indoor environment against a whiteboard. The top images were taken with the reticles at their highest brightness setting. As you can see, the EOTech reticle is extremely easy to see. While the competitors are visible, they are much more difficult to distinguish. The bottom images were taken in the same conditions but with the addition of white-light provided by a Surefire M961 weaponlight. Notice how the competitor dots have washed out but the EOTech A65/1 reticle is still clearly visible and ready to acquire.

Chris,

Nice reticle shots, not really much a comparison. I have an ATN digital compact ultra sight and have really liked it. Their reticles are really bright and you can adjust the brightness if needed. I like the fact that you can change between the 3 reticles with out altering POI. What has been your feedback on the ATN reflex sights?

We haven't sold enough of the ATN Ultra Sights to get any real feedback.  They are relatively unknown in a market overshadowed and dominated by EOTech.

The ATN is an excellent choice for someone that does not need a super durable combat ready sight.  A lot of the money you pay for the EOTech is for its soldier proofness.

Nice Chris.  Very good comparison I might add.  The three most comonly used red dot's by those in harms way.  Did I mention I hated it when my Eotech was de-issued.  I know I did somewhere.  First time I shot through an HWS I knew it was the best.  I don't have anything to put it on but when I do an EoTech will sit pretty on it.

I'd like to see a Trijicon Tri-Power in the line up  - it looks to me like it has a lot going for it but I have never seen one in person. I know the coiled fiber optics on my bow sight are awesome in low light.

I bought an ATN Ultra sight once.  It died promptly.  I exchanged.  It worked great for as long as I did not fire the gun (223 recoil made it turn off).  My cousin tried one.  It died.  He exchanged it. It died again.

I bought a Holosight XLP.  We'll see how it holds up.

Koshkin,

I put one of the Holosights on my Remington 870 defense gun and it holds up very well. The tactical light goes on and off with each shot, but the Holosight stays on.

Yeah, Holosight is certainly more durable than ATN.
