Fellas, wanting to get the low down on this scope to go on a 25-06 ruger 77 for use at the range and our southern varmint fields (hogs on the pipeline) out to about 700yd max.
I am particularly interested in how this scopes repeatability is as well as its tracking .  In years past I have used convintional scopes but after purchacing a ss 10x42, target turrets are a must on any thing but a brush gun. I think I would like a variable ss but they are out of my means right now.     Also any other suggestions are appreciated.

I have one on my R700 LTR .223, and found it to be a very good scope. It tracks very good, but with one full turn on the turret(12moa) it actually printed 13" on my target. The shots are  perfectly the same height, just spaced a bit to far apart. From my 100yrd zero, I had 30moa of elevation to use, so I'm pleased with that! The optical clarity is very good too, but the mildot retical is on the heavy side compared to my Leupys, but equal in clearness.

Jd, the group moving 13" after adjusting 12 minutes, is pretty good. You have to remember that a minute of angle is more than an inch at 100 yards. If you go with straight math it boils down to 12.564"(12*1.047"). So that means there is less than 1/2" of "slop" between you, the rifle, and the scope...

Yeah, I'm pretty happy with the scope... And you are correct on the measurement, they add up more then you might realize
