Well i finally took the plunge and bought a new gun. I deer hunt and target shoot, recently got more into target shooting. So i bought a Remington 700 Police Rifle, .308 Win. I wanted to put a bit more scope on it than the Burris Fullfield II 3-9X40 i had layin around. I have only used an Elite 3200, and was very impressed with it and the rainguard. Reading what everyone has written, the Elite 4200 is a darn good scope. I ordered the 4-16X40 A/O. So i was wondering if anything else out there can top this scope for the money?

For the money no, You'd be real hard pressed to find anything better in that price range. Welcome to the OT

I agree.  There are better scopes in an absolute sense, but the price:performance ratio the 4200 offers is hard to beat.

They are really hard to beat, value-wise.  Razor-sharp glass at a decent price.

I own that exact scope and will say NO you can't get a better scope in that price range bar none. Good scope that tracks, holds POI, and provides brightness and resolution even with scopes that cost more. Rainguard is pretty nice for the wet days too....
