Wondering how you guys would compare the two and which you would choose for a Marlin lever action.

I honestly don't know which would be "better" in a side-by-side. I'm opting to buy the Zeiss for my Marlin due to the #4 reticle, which was recommended here and from reviews that pushed me in the direction of the Zeiss. I believe that Bushnell has ended production of this scope, but you can still find them. I know when I checked, the 4200 cost less, but it will be a personal choice from the input you receive. Sorry for the log response, but my short answer would be a vote for the Zeiss!

I have both 4200 elites and conquests and will simply say the conquest has slightly brighter and more resolute optics, not a big difference but a difference. The conquest will have an etched reticle that is easier to see in low light conditions and will always stay black. The nickel wire reticle in the elite can and will turn a more brown/bronze color during certain light reflection conditions. The conquest has a fast euro diopter focus, I'm not sure if the elites have went to this yet or still use the slower lock ring style. Both scopes will perform well and the elite will have a rain coating that is nice in wet weather use. I prefer zeiss over bushnell for both warranty/service, resale value, and eye relief.

conquest would be better - reticle, eye relief would be big advantages IMO.

either would be fine - they are both great scopes.

i would give the nod to the conquest.

No experience with the Zeiss, but I have two of the  1.5x6 4200"s and they have functioned great. One is on a Marlin 1895 XLR in 45/70  and the other on a 338 Win Mag. Each is stainless and set up as  foul weather bear guns. The Rainguard has already proven itself on a nasty cold Canadian bear hunt . The only downside I can think of is the 4200's size ( it's kinda big ) I have no issues with the Zeiss, but the Elite's are a better value. However,  supplies are limited-- so if ya want one, may need to look around.
