Elcan for wet conditions
|Post Reply Topic Search Topic Options|
I am thinking of putting an Elcan SpecterDR 1/4x on a 30-06. This would be for hunting the Pacific Northwest, as in Washington, B.C., and Alaska.
I know they are rated waterproof for 2 hours at 66 feet. However I do not know about coatings, etc. I would expect they would be fine, but these are probably mostly used in desert conditions, so not sure if the are optimized for the cold and wet as well.
Anyone know how well they work in someplace like the coast in Alaska or B.C.?
