Well I went to the Eastern Sportsman and Outdoors Show In Harrrisburg, PA Saturday (opening Day).   OMG what a zoo!  I orginally had planned on parking at the complex but found out that on top of the $13 advanced ticket price it was $8.00 to park on site.  Bass Pro Shops is less than 5 miles from the complex and offered free parking and shuttle bus service so I went there instead.
Well I'm glad I did even though with 8 shuttle buses running the line in BPS went 3/4 of the way around the inside of the store.  Finally got on the bus after about 45 minute wait in line.  As we pulled up to the Complex I noticed signs saying that all the on-site parking lots were full!  The show started at 10am and I was at BPS by 10:05am.  The bus got to the compex around 11am.  Anyway we were dropped off right in front of one of the entrances and walked right into a wall of people.  It was sardine city, you coudn't even take a full stride without stepping on somebody in front of you.

There were a ton of different outfitters from all over the globe.  You could book a hunt for anything not on the endangered list and several critters that were but on private reserves.  I was a little disappointed in the number of gun manufactures that were there.  S&W had a nice display of all there current guns...hunting and black, along with Thompson Center and Walther offerings.  Mossberg, Savage and Stoeger were also there.  Several custom high makers were there too.

Guns, Archery, Fishing, Boating, camping and everything in between or associated was represented.

Found a couple of newer gunshops from my area that I ddin't know about.  I'll have to visit their local shops.  Bill Turnbull was on hand showing his wares and I haved to say he does some stunning work!!! Excellent  Craig Boddington was scheduled for latter in the week.  Entered a boat load of drawings for a lot of cool gear!  Really liked those Bad Boy electrics, everything except the price that is! Smile.  I could still be there is my feet and back hadn't started complaining about the concrete floor....

So definitely a show I can recommend to everybody..just not on opening morning!! Whacko

Sounds like a great day (all things considered). Who is Bill Turnbill? Is that Doug's brother or something? They do nice work there tho.
