Menu for the day:
Standing Rib Roast with Whiskey Sauce
Green Beans
Mashed Potatoes
Yeast Rolls

Desert:
Carrot Cake with Blue Bell "Homemade Vanilla" Ice Cream

My mother-in-law left me a Texas A&M Cookbook and I used direct recipes for the Standing Rib Roast, Whiskey Sauce, Green Beans and Mashed Potatoes… Danged Aggies' moms know how to cook.  My Lady absolutely loved the Standing Rib Roast and the Whiskey Sauce… (however, she said "you went a little light on the whiskey, there son… kick it up a little next time") (My WIFE said that to me…).  I'm going to be doing a lot more cooking with the Aggie cookbook.  It was copyrighted in 1991 and some of the recipes date back to Civil War era.  Great stuff.

Sounds like a dinner to be proud of.  I made home made pizza for lunch and tacos for dinner.

Dinner tonight:
2" thick ribeye
Pan fried with Farmer's Applewood smoked bacon and my best friend's Choice Cut seasoning... with watermelon and Compass Box Asyla Scotch.  Nothing else needed to complete the meal.  \
Hooaah...

That sounds good and makes my bacon sandwich seem rather unsatisfying...
Was sure I had a point when I started this post...
