I have read the lower you mount your scope the better accuracy you get. I allways thought as long as your eye and check are in alignment you where good to go. Sometimes I use a check pad to complete the alignment. So that when I mount the rifle its allway the same. Maybe I'm goig about this the wrong way. I'm sure you guys will fix me up with some good advice.

the better accuracy comes because  you get a better check weld, higher mounted optics only change the relationship in the ballistic curves to the poi, -- sometimes in prone shooting a high mount is preferred as it holds the head up ( talking shooting here guys)
