I ran across those for a steal here recently Jamie, they seem to get ok reviews but seem to like the premium 22 ammo and not the bulk box stuff, either way should be fun to let lead fly with it.  PM me if you want the site I saw them on.

This one looks like more fun to me. And it would feed 22 shorts.

Do you have an AR lower now? If so I would look at the tactical solutions upper in 22LR.

I came real close to buying the Sig  22 It's just hard for me to get excited about a 22.  I have a ruger 22 pistol and a bolt action 22 Savage. I would be more likely to buy another ruger 10-22 due to mag availability and cost.   The Marlin  39A golden trigger does tend to be one I like as i used to have one and it disappeared about the time my first wife did.

So the scope is mounted on top of it.

Might make a nice squirrel rig with a 6x on it.

  Price? (real world).

Rimfirecentral made it sound like those mossberg 22's are pretty low quality with some mag issues and are just overall akward to use. I'd look at a Nordic Components upper or one of the S&W MP-22 AR's.

I'm probably ordering one of the Nordic ones this week if they get back to me.

Ruger makes one that has the 10-22 system as the internal design so should hold up quite well. The S&W is plastic surprised it doesnt say Matel on it.  I am not convinced that an AR style 22 is a good choice you scope mount will cost more than most 22's will. If you are going to put the kind of money this project will cost into a 22 seriously consider a Marlin 39A golden trigger lever action they are very nice rifles and feel solid.  If you just want to shoot lots of bullets get a ruger 10-22 or a Marlin model 60.
