Just wondering if anyone makes an 80x spotter or if 60x is the max?

Zeiss makes a 20-75 eyepiece for the Diascope 85. Nikon's MCII eyepiece has 25-75 magnification on the Fieldscope 82ed. You can use any number of short focal eyepieces with a Pentax 80ed to get high magnifications as well.

Matt is right.
The Zeiss Diascope is going to have the largest mag available.

Well, not exactly Skylar.

The Pentax PF100ED would be the traditional spotter with highest useable magnifications, I think.

The Pentax accepts astronomical eyepieces and with its whopping 630mm focal length a high quality 4mm focal length Astro eyepiece would yield a 157.5x magnification.  Of course the exit pupil would be a nearly useless 0.63mm.  However the same scope with a more reasonable 6mm focal length would yield a very high 105x magnification and a useable (but not optimal) 0.95mm exit pupil.

Theron mag 82 comes with a zoom that goes to 75x. And in the right conditions it is useable.

...and to add to the Nikon, Theron and Zeiss list I do believe that the new Meopta also goes up to 75x.

As Matt mentioned though you can achieve 80x magnification with several spotters as long as they accept a 1.25 inch astro eyepiece. The Pentax, Zeiss and Celestron Regal models fall into this category. You just need to know the focal length of the scope body so you can pick an eyepiece with the correct focal length to achieve it.

For example, I believe the Celestron's is 480. So to get 80x you would need a 6 mm eyepiece.

On that note, I do loooooovvvvveee the Theron Mag body coupled with the Nikon 75x DS eyepiece. Very impressive!
