Hello all, I am new to the Forum and I have been hunting for(no pun intended)a do-all optic for my DSarms FAL carbine. I already purchased LaRue SPR-S mount for 1" scope tubes and was considering the Trijicon Accupoint 1.25-4x24 TR21. I want to use the scope for close-in work but want to be able to have some mid range magnification to take advantage of the .308 cal's capability. I also considered the Burris lighted reticle 1.5-6x40 scope as a cheaper(in price)alternative. I want an Illuminated reticle, and, of course, would like something reasonable in price. Reasonable is the 300-500 range. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Trijicon is a good scope. I was a little uncomfortable with the difference in eye relief between low and high magnification settings, but it worked pretty well.
There are a few other good scopes you can try. Perhaps, my pick for this purpose would be IOR 1.1-4x26 Also Meopta 1-4x22 with K-Dot has been getting some very good reviews. A cheaper alternative is Burris Signature Safari 1.75-5x32 with lighted TaperPlex reticle. It probably has more eye relief than you need, but it is a good scope. If you want something a little cheaper yet you can look at Millett DMS-1. I have not played with this scope myself yet, but I have heard good things about it. ILya |
