I looked at an adapter that clamps to the spotting scope eyepiece, then you mount the digital camera. There area adjustments to line up the camera for the proper view.  Does this work well or not?? Any help would be good. I've taken pictures through the spotter by holding the camera on the eye piece. Sometimes it's not too bad and sometimes it's is not very good pictures.

Thanks in advance.

Universal adapters (like the one you described) work well when they are set, but are finicky to get set correctly, and can come out of adjustment.

What spotter and camera are you working with?

I have a Leica 62MM APO with 16-48 eyepiece. I have a Canon Powershot SD 750, a Panasonic TZ5, and a Sony H50. They are point and shoot. I've taken pictures by holding the camera against the eyepiece with mixed results. So this adapter is hard to get it set where you want it??Smile

It isn't really difficult, it just takes some trial and error to get it "just right."  canon sd 750 is probably the best bet.

You might want to look into a Tines Up Scope Cam adapter for the Leica 62 and a thread adapter for the camera like a Zeikos Universal Camera Adapter.
