Sorry for so many questions but I can't seem to find the answers online but I'm sure some of you know. There are several manufactures that list, for example, 15-45x60 straight spotting scopes. However, some of these are as short as 11" long while others are 15" and beyond.

With the same magnification and objective size, what's the difference when the eyepiece and objective are closer together versus a few inches farther apart? Thanks.

Some the image is traveling in a straight line, some the image is same length traveling like a  Z     Think of a mirror then  a second mirror.

I wonder if anyone make one of a Schmidt-Cassegrain design?

Which specific spotters are you referring to?
