THE TOUGHEST THING YOU CAN FIND.
The 54 is almost feared by many "magnum airgun scope" makes. It destroys metal foil reticled scopes in general. Thre is a case in Sweden where a 54 destroyed ZEISS DIAVARI's.
I's honestly try something along the lines of the SUPER sniper. Or in russia try something local and much cheaper in case it breaks - Say a VOMZ 8*56 PILAD or a ZOMZ. Maybe try and find a second hand KVANT |

A 54 can destroy anything with a metal foil reticle - i.e Bushnell - Leupold. Even if it is "Spring-gun" rated. The problem is the secondary vibration that spring guns produce - as well as the recoil which operates in the reverse direction to firearms. Really cant give you any better advice as I long gave up on "spring guns". All my contacts with 54's use cheap scopes because they KNOW that eventually they will break.
If you've tried the PILAD and it broke - then your gun will destroy most scopes. the PILAD is a very basic, very simple but tough design. I've dropped one almost 3 metres and it still worked afterwards.
You could try ZOMZ in Sergiev Posad - they do a 10*50 with etched glass reticle that is military grade and if you ask, I'm sure they will set the objective focus for shorter distances. |

For what its worth, I have a Simmons 1048 on mine that has survived 1000+ shots so far without a change in point of impact. It was cheap so I put it on to see how long it will last...if and when it breaks I will post so you will know.

Ciao Solo
You can use a classic Dampa Mount (sportsmatch), or better "attacco ammortizzato monoblocco" Benaglio (http://www.benaglioattacchi.it/) Those scope mounts are damped and absorb a big amount of the piston recoil.
With those scope mounts and a scope airgun rated for medium or high recoil (for example a Bushnell Trophy or higher series) you have solved your problems with you magnum spring gun!
Hope this help
Ciao giuseppe |
