I've got a Dewey Cleaning Rod  27-.35 cal. (Rod length: 36") but it's to short when i use it with a bore guide.
my question is can you get an extension (5 inch) or get a longer rod, longest ive seen is a 38" but not in my caliber.
I'm classic shag nasty type.

I do believe you can get a longer rod, I have seen them, but don't ask me where. I will see If I can find a source though, and report back.
I just got a Tipton graphite 44" rod for 30cal. from competitor .
Life's concerns should be about the 120lb pack your trying to get to the top of the mountain, and not the rock in your boot.

They have longer sizes than 36" depending on what you want.

Good stuff, I have three different sizes for my rifles and pistols. I called them a few years back and they were very helpful.

Brownells in Montezuma Iowa is the best source for all cleaning equipment, especially if you can set up a business account to get their excellent discounts.

I had the same problem with one of my cleaning rods, it was only a fraction of an inch too short to clear the patch at the muzzle, so I trimmed a little off the back of my plastic bore guide.  Works great now...
