I'm in the market for a deer hunting scope to be mounted on my Tikka T3 30'06

My budget is approximately $500 Canadian... (around $350-400 American I suppose)

Some models that I have identified are:

Nikon Monarch 3 3x9
Leupold VX-2 3x9
Zeiss Terra 3x9

Is there anything else I should take a look at?
What is your opinion on those models above, if you have had a chance to use them previously.

There's also a Zeiss Conquest MC 3x9 used I can get for $250, which seems to be an excellent deal.

Get the conquest. Or a Meopta Meopro 3-9x.
Lifetime warranty and excellent customer service don't mean a thing when your gun fails during a zombie attack.

I do not think Nikon makes the 3-9x40 Monarch any more, but the 2.5-10x42 one is surprisingly decent.

That having been said, both the 3-9x40 Conquest and Meopta MeoPro are better.

Appears I cannot edit my post, but after reading some other threads, I'll definitely strike that Terra off of my list.

Thanks for the suggestion on the Meopta, I will add it to my list of considerations

I would suggest the Conquest MC for $250 as well.  I have one on my 7mm0-08, and it's great for deer hunting.  That's at the top of the list of those you mention, IMO.  The MeoPro is right there, too, but you won't find one for $250CAN.  Even if that's in US dollars, it's half what a new meopro 3-9x costs.  Welcome to the OT.

Can't argue with the Conquest MC and would go so far as to say that if you can find a used one in 3.5-10 in your price range, it's even better, being a bit smaller, lighter and with a better eyebox.

I went with the Conquest :)
Thank you for the suggestions, the scope is in pristine condition, the previous owner took really good care of it. (and yes it was $250 CAD)

Anyway, some pics of the scope:

You won't be disappointed.  I also like the Glenfiddich on the bar behind the scope!
