I just bought this Swarovski 3-9x36 Habicht, and got one of your fine folks to fit me some Butler Creek Caps. How does it compare to other scopes? Does it compare to its newer model, the American Lightweight? When was this scope made? Have the coatings or glass from Swaro change from then to now? Thanks

Sorry it has taken me so long to reply. Our Email notification has been on the fritz.
That may be a base model Swarovski, but you are still getting superior quality optics. Every year, the European companies try to improve something, and it could be as simple as shaving an ounce off the weight, or giving it a wider field of view, but not sure exactly if they have upgraded the lenses, and coatings on that particular scope. As far as the age goes, if you phone Swarovski with the serial number handy, they will give you the year the scope was made.
Thank you for choosing SWFA for your optic needs, Dave |
