I'm in negotiation with my gunsmith to make me a sporterized British .303, and even found a cool looking Monte Carlo walnut stock set for it.

I was thinking on putting my old Millet 3-9x 44mm  on it.  It is not too bad of a scope, but I noticed all of Vortex scopes are fully multi coated.  Do you think a Crossfire 3-9x  would work better, or should I just forked over the extra $45 for another Diamondback? (I decided on a Diamondback for my Mauser), and must report I am a broke person.

Just to explain my version of broke.........My kids are German, everything is converted to Euros.  One Euro is  $130  to  $150 not counting service charges, when (if) the dollar is good.  So it's not I am a cheap skate, (well kinda), but every little bit helps.

And to add insult to injury, I have a Leupold VX-II 2.5-4x, two Elite 3200's in 3-9x and one of my favorite German scopes, a Seeadler 8x  56mm.  My........quote.....wife.....unquote (note sarcasm) won't mail them to me, my 'priorities' are messed up I am told.
