Not something that jumps instantly to mind even having hunted most of my life but this link on preditormasters about carrying a card that suggests to the doctor that you might be exposed to animal borne diseases just might be a good idea for those of us who hunt or trap or deal with dead critters.   I had to put down a sick raccoon yesterday on duty so FYI be careful of your health when handling dead critters.

Honestly never gave diseases much thought other than Lyme and rabies.  VERY GOOD idea!

The anti-hunters are largely responsible for the prevelance of many of these diseases, most especially the explosion of tick-borne diseases in the East where hunting and trapping has been severely curtailed in recent years.

We should hammer this point home every time we have to deal with these diseased vermin. (The anti-hunters/ trappers, I mean...)

Sorry Joe, Raccoons are mean, nasty, little critters, 171 stitches later they closed my brothers leg back up after one got hold of him.
