its too early for coyotes, you cant sell them for anything this time of year, course you may not hunt them for that reason either.

Great pictures.  I like Paul's suit...  great hunting area, beautiful "riverside" scene.  If there are any coyotes about, maybe Gene and I can stop by and help decrease the surplus population in April...

Very nice Wes!!  Excellent

We usually leave 'em where they drop, the buzzards take care of the rest. No photo shoots (unless it's the kids).

Dan you and Gene are certainly welcome to make a coyote hunt in April if you want to give it a try.
It's difficult to predict when you will have luck with them but right now they have not been shot at since last fall so this one sucked in to about 50 yds. One shot one kill by Paul, he's spent a lot of range time working with this scope and rifle combo out to 600 yds. I was inclined to think the scope was a tad high power for up close but he got right on it at 6x and smoked it.

Usually what we do since most of them have mange really bad, this one was the exception rather than the rule.  The coyotes and the bobcats have done a lot of damage to the bird population so we need to thin them out some.

I know what you mean, that's probably why we treat 'em that way after we shoot 'em. That is a nice coyote though, very nice hunt pictorial too. Big Smile The coyotes around here look mangy in comparison.

Very cool!!  I need to get out and do more yote hunting.  A lot of them seem to have mange up here too, so I just shoot and leave them.

Nice pics and hunt. I process everyone that's not mangy. Lot of work but i just can't let them go. Take a number of friends now and process their dogs if they're nice and they sure appreciate it, once they're on the wall.
