Do you have anything else in one of those colors? Being stainless your not over concerned about camo, but is your intent hunting or tactical? I would opt for black cause most green I have seen didn't look so good. Ofcourse when you do get one with the right blends they look great. Both should be plenty durable so it comes down to if one fits your purpose better than the other. Or which one appeals to you the most. Let us know what you get. Good Luck!

The top one is better camo but Im not sure I like the look of the x's so its rather a toss up is that the only two colors they offer?   What I would like to see is the black with an olive thread.  GAPrecision had a Mc Millan that was black with olive and tan inlaid which I thought was very attractive.  There is some camo wrap that you can get to wrap the barrel and stock too if you like when hunting it and since the wrap has no stickey stuff you can take it on an off so you have camo when you want it and dont leave it on to gather moisture and cause rust.  http://www.rangerjoes.com/camo-wrap-camoform-self-cling-p-2423.html
This is by far the most painless camo solution I have found.

Maybe I'm an idiot, but I only see one camo pattern - the #2, and I like that one.  It gets my vote.  At least till I see the #1 candidate.

I like the simple black/red spider web.  I'm not a huge camo guy especially on Coopers.

Below is what I wrote at the beginning of the thread. I did not mention anything about another Camo Color..Im just trying to find a color I like for a really nice all weather rifle. I do not want to drag my Kimber Super America through Sage Brush..The colors that are available are pretty much anything Bell & Carlson has according to Cooper in MT. If these rifles were not so hard to find Id just jump in the truck and go look at him, handle em  buy one....Its tough having to pick out a rifle you have never seen! Thanks for the opinions!

Wood first but since you are deciding between the 2 synthetics, I'd go with the black/red spider.  IMO, the camo kinda makes the gun cheap looking, guess I just don't like camo looking guns.

I was looking at Coopers at a gun shop here in NJ and they are top notch.  Do they come in other colors besides the two pictured?  I heard that they are planning to come out with more calibers which is the only reason I didn't buy one

The bottom one is redlight district camo.  Cool and somewhere in the wording I'm lost and I am not sure if you like red or green.  I was looking for option 3 but either 1 or 2 would do. Thinking  camo tape in MARPAT

http://www.bellandcarlson.com/   When I look at the Bell and Carlson stocks they have a  Olive Green w/ Black Spiderweb that I find quite attractive.

#97 Olive Green w/ Black Spiderweb™

Hmmm,
Rifle Stock painting,I hate to spend the bucks on one of these then turn around and paint the damn stock...BUT Roy you may be on to something because to tell you the truth I really do not like any of the Colors AVAILABLE. Thank you for that suggestion. hell for as much gear as Ive bought since Ive joined this forum I may as well buy an air brush and paint stocks on the side in my old age as well!!  Seriously its a good idea! I myself like Black with some sort of very light fine Spyder Webbing... My friend Wes over there really likes the Red Light District (Black/Red) Colors, it really does something for him, but Im not gonna ask him what exactlyBig Grin

I am always pleased to help others spend their money. Look at it this way, if you have it painted you can choose any combination of colors and percentages of colors (to a point) and have some with no compromise and something probably no one else with have.

I've always like the charcoal grey with light grey spiderweb like on my Sendero SFII.  The nice thing about factory finishes is they use an epoxy type paint that is very durable.  I have a 7 year old H-S Precision that is on it's 2nd 22-250 barrel, been to SD prairie doggin 7 times and the stock still looks close to new.  They use great paint.  I assume B&C uses a similar quality coating.  THe spiderwebbing also adds texture for a good grip.

Horsemany,

That sounds very cool and I agree, the job the professionals Stock makers do has to be better than what I can do, or many others for that matter....The stock you have sounds very cool, I will try and look it up online pretty soon.
THANKS!Smile This is gonna be another fun project! spendy but fun, you only live once!

I think I posted this elsewhere, but if I had a Cooper, it would be in wood.  Does Cooper make their own synthetic stocks?  If not, whose do they use?  I have been reading about synthetic aftermarket stocks and there are so many to choose from, it is mind boggling and the prices go from about 99 bucks to around a thousand.  I am sure Cooper probably sources out to another maker to their specs, since they are so small.  Do you guys know?

Julio dont you like the Olive Green & Black Fishnet Stockings.  The photo isnt large enough to do it justice.    I could live with the red light district camo but I'm really liking the Olive Green.   I really like the black with green of the R5 also.
