After 8 weeks of not so patient waiting the police have approved my conversion to a 6mmRemAIBig Smile

So this week-end my Rem308 is going in for a make-over. New barrel and chambered for a 6mmRem AI. the purpose...to join the laser club. I'm hoping to push 70gr bullets to 3750 ftpersec+.

The idea is to shoot steel gongs of 8inch with a 330yds zero, without the need to correct for distance out to 380yds.

The future is here...bring it on.

The rifle goes in to the smith this week-end. Then for proofing, then for re-lic. So maybe Mid Jan I can start giving range reports.

So ya'll not have much wind down there?

BD, at the short distances we shoot I hope to outrun the wind. Not much in it anyway according to JBM.
If the wind really blows it could be a nightmare, I agree. But I am no longer on the coast and 12-15 mph is considered a storm up here on the Highveld !!!

Yes the waiting sucks big time .

That sounds cool 8shots.  I hope it works well for you.  Excellent  I am a big fan of the .243, ground round IMO.
Lifetime warranty and excellent customer service don't mean a thing when your gun fails during a zombie attack.

3750 is moving. Fast.  At 300 yards, I wouldn't worry too much about wind, unless shooting in a hurricane.
