found some meoptas on sale and have been considering the 4-12x50 meopro or 3-10x50 meostar. both #4 reticles. i do have a couple meoptas in 42mm and a 56mm so i know the glass is great and probably a toss up btwn which of these is better but has anyone had experience with these 2 in particular? is the 50mm meostar any better optically than the 4-12 meopro?

Optically speaking, the MeoPro and MeoStar riflescope lines perform on the same level.  Where you have the difference is in the zoom factors (MeoPro = 3x, MeoStar = 4x) and internal adjustment range (more on MeoStar due to 30mm main tube).

Both are excellent choices, so the detail comes down to how far you plan on shooting, 1 inch vs. 30mm and price.

Yes I work for Meopta, but I am not here to sell Meopta. Just answering questions and providing reasonable insight.
