Looks like they raised the prices on most of the Zeiss Conquests(at least on the 3-9x40 Z-plex, was $450, now $500). Chris, will there be an increase on the 2.5-8x32? (2.5-8x32 and the other low powered variable remain the same so far)

I wonder if the price increase is tied to the devaluing of the dollar as compared to the euro. |

The new VX-3 is looking even better now... Cbissell, I've been checking Conquest prices almost every day for awhile, and bam they go up today or maybe yesterday! If the 2.5-8x32 stays the same you might wanna consider going with this one instead of the 3-9x40. Edited by bagderRed - January/31/2009 at 09:18 |

No, I didn't mean to confuse you. I started off the post just commenting in general that the new VX-3 will look that much better against a main competitor in Zeiss with Zeiss having higher prices... Zeiss Conquest is still my preferred choice(in this price range) but I bet the new Leupold VX-3 will be right with it and can be had for about the same money. FWIW, I have a couple of scopes, Weaver, Leopold, Swarovski and Zeiss Conquest, I am no expert just an end user but I honestly believe Conquest is the best bang for your buck! Sam
