I've never used one.  Was wondering the pros and cons of a laser range finder and rifle scope combo.  Any comments appreciated. Thanks. John

Properly designed this is definitely the way of the future. Imagine a scope that would let you program it for BDC using particular load, then the only thing you do before taking a shot is activating rangefinding, which automatically adjusts the reticle position based on your load, distance, inclination angle and maybe even temperature and air pressure and you're ready to shoot (while still being able to make minute adjustments if necessary). That is by all means the way of the future, but we're not there yet. Current combination scopes that have rangefinders built-in work separately from windage/elevation adjustment mechanisms. So, at this point I would have to say that unless you have some money to "burn", or absolutely need this for some sporting discipline or LE work or something along these lines, you're better off spending your money on traditional scope.

There are several problems with this scope.  Size and weight are obvious.  But, you are also exposing your electronics to shock, vibration, and environmental factors that they were never intended to survive in.  I have yet to see any MTBF test data on these scopes.  Your optics will be warrantied for life, your electronis will be a year.  In another five years, this may be the way to go.  For now, keep your scope and range finder seperate.

Welcome to the forum and please don't post links to competitors. You can get better scopes than that for the money and the range finding in a reticle like that is only going to work on 1 power since it is not first focal plane.
