$2600 is actually pretty good compared to a lot of the stuff out there.  Still, too heavy for what I would want out of something like this.

Yeah, I agree. I'd say the "Cooper" logo adds a bit to the total cost too.

Think I would just stick with the Cooper M54.  Never quite connected with the whole chassis idea.

Isn't that the truth.  I get the consistent form factor from one platform to another.  I've even used a Mesa Tactical adapter to install an AR stock on my 870 and appreciate Barrett's 98B and MRAD but can't make the leap.
