I jsut purchased a like new Colt 4x21 scope which has a carry handle mount.  I took it to the range and it seems to perform well.  I was able to figure out how to adjust the scope to sight it in although the windage knob doesn't have a direction indictor which was confusing.

This scope has the 100-500 yard bullet drop compensator and a very complicated reticle.  It has a cross hair with several hash marks below the central cross hair as well as what appear to be windage marks lower down.  You really need a picture to understand all this.

My problem is that I don't have any information on using the reticle.  A search here revealed nothing in the way of information.  If anyone has some experience with this I would appreciate any help you can give me.

Thanks,

Ike

You can probably get information from Colt.  I had one but it was 30 years ago. I suspect the scope will be in meters with the zero at either 200 meters or 300 meters and the hold over marks each being a hundred meter incriments. windage should be 10 mph wind drift. The bullet would very likely be one of the 50 grain bullets used by the military in the 70's in Vetnam.  The attachment screw that holds it to the carry handle works very well on these and the guys building carry handle mounts should revert to this system that has a piece of spring steel that clips in place keeping the bolt from loosening.

I would stay WAY FAR from any "Colt Optics C-More" scopes.
In my opinion, GARBAGE!

The original "Colt" 4x20 or 4x30 are quality "made in Japan" and work extremely well...

The C-More "Colts".... Absolute Junk.
