    Posted: May/11/2015 at 07:54

I bought a few of the cole-tac Python and baby python suppressors covers. I had never used any of the cole-tac items before these. I bought these to test and see how well they would hold up. I was looking for a cover I could offer thru my business and to give to the customers when they buy a suppressor from me and the kicker is I had my companies name added to them. so when ask, where did you get that from.. Its on it. so not thinking of where. So I emailed Dustin at cole-tac and ask him a million and 2 questions. After all was said and done I had 5 headed my way.2 baby python and 3 python. The 2 baby python was test and out the door on 2 suppressors ( specterII and warlock) that  the form4's had made it back on. Those 2 worked great. no slipping, nice and firm lock up on straps and very little material over lap. after tons of rounds and a few mag dumps the host weapons were hot. The cover did want it was meant to do. It kept the mirage and the heat off your hand if taking the suppressor off. These truly worked as advertised on rim fire cans. I will be getting more of these for my shop and myself.

now the Python. I told Dustin the sizes I needed harvester30, Harvester 338, saker 7.62 and they fit perfect. so, I had all the suppressors and covers and ready to test. well it rained in Ga for 3+ straight weeks and I was unable to test these out. next best thing was to take them to the http://www.guardianlongrange.com/.wouldn't you have it, it was raining there too!!! I was taking the Harvester30 and a 308win and new a buddy Andrew (helo) would be shooting and had a thunderbeast 30-p1. So I thought why not have two people test them on 2 different cans and caliber rifle.. I just didn't fill Helo in on my plan until we meet up and didn't know if he brought his can or what caliber rifle he was using. he brought the can and a 260rem The Harvester 338 cover fit the 30-P1 suppressor perfectly. we both put the covers on and off to the first station. it was a 11 shot string with in 100 seconds. nether cover moved enough to matter. I did not touch the cover on the Harvester30 but the other was adjusted thru out the match as helo would play with it from time to time. The next station was another string of 10 rounds or so. the cover on the harvester 30 moved just a tad, I still did not mess with it and all was still great. it had not moved to the brake baffles on the harvester yet. so after 4 stations the covers and rifles and suppressors were doing what they should but the shooter (me) wasn't helo was not doing to bad.next up was an unlimited shot count in 100 or so seconds. I still had not moved the harvester 30 cover and went crazy on my shot count on this station. The cover moved over the muzzle baffles during the station. I didn't move it and kept shooting another 6 rounds. The cover held up well and did not come apart but it did open up just a little. The cover was tough. so with strings of shooting, rain, a lot of heat in the suppressors these covers held up WAY better than any cover should. I can NOT say enough great things about Dustin's (cole-tac) work and these covers. They are a great addition to any shooter needing a durable and great looking suppressor cover.

here is a few pictures of the covers. I will take more as I'm still running them thru there paces. Also they have another buckle system that looks better and I'm betting will keep the covers from moving less than what they move now. I hope to be buying a few of those shortly and give them a run also.

pic's of when They first arrived.

This is where the cover moved over the muzzle baffles on the harvester30 for 20 or so rounds.

Give Dustin @ cole -tac a shout and order today, These truly are great covers.

They are great overs.  I have already told Brandon I will be ordering more from him for my other suppressors.  The one he gave me (which I need to pay him for) fits my Thunderbeast perfectly.  I did have it shift slightly shooting it up here on a 30 shot string, but overall it stays in place better than my old cover.  I would like to see metal buckle to cinch it a little tighter, but the rest of the design I love.

Great pictures as well Brandon.  Good thing you left me out.  The rifles and packs look good though.

Brandon's endorsement you can take to the bank. Lovely, lovely rifles too...

I'm getting a 'presser for Black Betty when I get settled back in my new AO.

I've starting saving but it will be awhile...  I'm thinking a .30 to start and I'll use it on everything smaller to .22 also!

If you intend to use it on a .22 LR either make sure you have a sonic cleaner or find one that can be taken apart to clean.  22s dirty up a suppressor fast.

Really fast. Like 50 rounds fast. If you want to use a can on a 22 then get a 22can. Will save headaches in the long run.

A lot of the 22 cans do, but most other cans do not.  There are a few out there that are designed that way now even for the bigger calibers.

A lot of 22 can are but not alot of 30cal cans are not.so a 30cal can on a 22 would need to be dipped clean more than you would wAnt to do it.
