Do we have any telecommunication specialists on board?
I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the fate of ClearWire Corp and its TD-LTE roll out.
Thanks in advance.

While most of their sales revenue is wholesale through Sprint and Leap, they have expanded retail sales and retail profit/subscriber is up $.03. Looks like they are getting research/equipment costs lowered and amortized. They've picked up some wholesale business, but lost Comcast and  someone else- Time Warner, I think. Leap partnership will grow as Leap appears to be cutting LightSquared loose.
CLWR is bleeding money and if  China backs down on their TD- LTE agreement with Clearwire, that could be a major hit.
Intel also seems to be going TDD/TD-LTE and will be unlikely to partner.

CLWR's model seems to be partnerships with concerns like Sprint, et al in trying to cover just concentrated urban markets rather than universal wireless coverage ala ATT.

They've raised $1B+ via CreditSuisse for new installs/rollouts and have announced they'll need a lot more.

Ps I am no specialist, just some guy...
