Chris,

Are they shipping? If not, do you have an estimate?
Have you had any 'hands on'?
If so:
How would you assess their usefulness for silhouette? (Are the knobs easily read? Easily reset to zero? How many MOA of adjustment per revolution on the 1/4 moa click versions? On the 1/8 moa click versions? Have you got weights?)

With thanks,

Ernie

I don't know how useful this is, but, I saw a mock-up that Redfield was showing off.  I was not impressed.  They come in some strange magnification ranges and their is no AO and all of the scopes went beyond 10X.  I asked if the production models would have an AO and I was told no.

ranburr,

Are we discussing AOs or parallax focus? (I had understood that the higher powers would have side focus.)
As for powers above 10X, most silhouette shooters prefer something between 16X and 40X with 20X to 24X being most common.
Reading from the website, I'm not thrilled with the 52 and 56mm objectives but that can be lived with if the rest is outstanding -- especially the tracking. (If they're going to try to sell to the silhouette crowd, some reticle choices beyond plexes are going to be needed.)
Given that all we're seeing so far is advertising, the line looks interesting -- especially if they shake it out a bit. (I have the feeling that they're on the track but that they haven't talked with enough shooters.)

The model that I saw and the pictures they show in advertisements has no focus of any kind with the exception of the euro-style fast focus eyepiece.

Brady & Ranburr

Thx to both.
I 'might' make it to SHOT.
If I don't, I have numerous friends who will. Guess that we'll have to see what Redfield brings to display there...
