Scary - made me nervous watching it and waiting for someone to get shot.

The part that gets me is in what situation would you be in hand to hand fighting and then have to push the guy you are fighting aside to shoot at someone else down range? Then the chances of you actually making a good hit when someone is hitting your hands and arms would be nearly impossible. I have always been taught to make sure you can hit your target before you shoot. How can you be sure of that if your wrestling with some dude.

I have taken a few classes where they teach you to strike the bad guy in front of you so you can draw your weapon and shoot him, but never to strike him and draw and hold him down so I can shoot at something else. That just seems dangerous to me.

While I see some validity in what is being taught (struggling with one suspect/assailant and having to use deadly force on a second), the use of live fire is beyond irresponsible, and negligent. And to shove a real pistol into someones throat in training.........................................
