OK, heres the latest intel dump on my deployment for those that care.

(For those that don't care, read it anyway, it's kind of interesting.)

The company was supposed to pick up an existing contract shadowing convoys of  "vehicles" up and down the MSR's of Iraq.

The company sent an advance team of 3 guys over there to set up the AO and get the deal set in motion.

One of the dudes I know personally, a former Marine 8541 S/S.

They were taking small arms fire daily and only had hand guns, (Glocks) to return fire.

(When I was told about the lack of appropriate weaponry, my lightening quick mind deduced that there "might" be a problem.)

Add to the fact that a medic, another buddy, didn't make the trip with advance team.

Strange indeed, I thought. No medic??

Not exactly SOP now is it??

So, the ring leader of this circus informs us back here CONUS to stand by and continue to get all our kit squared away because we are shipping out in 5-7 days.

Done deal, he says..............Right......

(Yet another nail in the coffin.)

My spider senses tingling rapidly now!!!!

Lo and Behold, the owner of the company skips out country, fearing for his life, I believe under the cover of darkness even, and leaves the advance team there to fend for themselves!

No return plane ticket, money, nothing!!

A friend, the medic, has been in contact with the former Scout Sniper Marine friend of the advance team and he appears to be safe, but that was about a week ago.

I believe he's still in country looking for another security gig, but I'm not 100% sure of that.

So, suffice to say that I'm disappointed that I didn't depoly.

BUT, I'm grateful that I didn't go work for this clown.

If anybody wants more intel on this deal, please shoot me a PM.

I'd like to save someone else from getting screwed around from this company if I can.

Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!!!!!!!!

(And still CONUS)

Just hope the advanced team don't find him when they get back from the box.  Pretty petty low life there.  Glad you didn't go to work for that guy.  I would hope you spill the beans on who this company is and someone can put two and two together and find out who this guy is so they can steer clear if he ever decides to start up another company for security work or otherwise.
