Center of Scope Adjustments

If you could, perhaps through signature rings or shims, have your scope adjustments perfectly centered at a given range, at what range would you center them if you intend to shoot at 100, 200 and 300 yards, as in some benchrest shoots?
Same question but for 1,000 yards.

	How much elevation does your scope have? What caliber are you shooting? These will be needed to estimate the amount of drop that will be required to reach 1000 yards It could be you may need a 20 moa rail to reach 1000. Your scope can be zeroed at any range. Corrections will be made in your ballistics software for your drops at all ranges.
	Folks ain't got a sense of humor no more. They don't laugh they just get sore. Need to follow the rules. Just hard to determine which set of rules to follow Now the rules have changed again.

	Thanks, I am not really asking for specific come ups, I have those already. It is hard to word this but I am talking about having your scope work at its best. I think that would be when your elevation and windage turrets are at the middle of their range, and have maximum room for more adjustment. So, if I have 300 clicks elevation, it would be 150 clicks. I cannot mount the scope to be centered at all distances but I can pick the optimal range. If I will be shooting at targets at 100, 200 and 300 yards, I would think I want the turrets centered at 200, but I am not sure. I may be picking nits on a gnats butt here.

	I wouldn't want my scope vertical zero'ed at the perfect middle. I'd want it at the beginning range of adjustment so that I'd have more room to travel. I get what you're saying....I think........ if you have a scope with 100MOA of adjustment you'd want it zero'ed with exactly 50up and 50 down or adjustment at whatever distance you so desire (100, 200, etc)...... I'd rather have it offset..... with only 20 down and 80 up..... that give me more room to stretch the legs so to speak. The 20MOA bases and canted stuff helps get you this offset most desire....

	SJS, there isn't enough differences between zero settings if 100, 200 and 300 yards to matter in this case. With modern scopes, there is no perceptible performance difference if you stay within +/-30% of the adjustment range. ILya

	I would always choose to have a one hundred yard zero. Wbile I do not shoot any bench rest, this will allow most Center-fire rifles to be in the up direction on the scopes erector. This just makes it easier for me to remember and allows me to use a zero stop.
	If it is tourist season, why can't we shoot them?
