I know they have a history, but that was low even by politician standards.  Edwards dropped low and whether or not his spotter told him Brad was there, Brad WAS there.  If I was the car owner I would be pissed.  Lost a chance at a top 10, he was 6th, and total a car.  Like the announcers said, think it was Waltrip, you can see those white gloves turn to the right.

Saw that.  Planting a defense b/c he just had to do something.  He was mad and took him out.

Lost a lot of respect for Carl. He could have hurt or killed someone. Take your frustrations out outside of the car.

He does seem to have an anger issue.  Remember when he got into it with Kevin Harvick?

Let's not forget the incident with his Roush teammate, Matt Kenseth:

He went up into Kezelowski, and pit maneuvered him. It was without question intentional. He has even gone as far as head on into another car AFTER the race was won. I lost respect for him at the Bristol race. I think if they allow him to race out, he should forfeit any championship points he acquires. It is one thing to be a competitor, it quite another to be a totally self absorbed prick. People got tire debris in their eyes at the point where this took place. Were it not for the assumption of personal risk to be at the races, there would be lawsuits.

All I got to say is it wont' be to long for someone to end up seriously hurt or killed and then a lawsuit and then no more nascar, or at least not like it should be at least.

Perhaps, but you must remember, NASCAR is for us rebellious red necks, not sophisticates like you.  If we got hurt at a race we would think it be a badge of honor.  Wink

I think you are the first to ever call the likes of me sophisticated! I broke my arm years ago when I snapped a tie rod on the drag strip and hit the wall, i know all about the badge of honor.

88 FoxBody with a 460 and 200 shot of juice.  c6 with TB, 9" rear, set up to be a 8-9 sec 1/4 mile car, never could get a smooth run with her, she bucked like a biotch and never held the track, sold it right after I fixed the damage from hitting the wall.

I'll try to get pictures up of the 76 F100 with the 460 punched to a 514 over Easter thats the new toy.

I didn't see a problem with the nudge. It was well deserved. If it wasn't for the rear wing it wouldn't have been so dramatic.
Keselowski doesn't have that much time in the series and has had his run ins with several long timers. You want to push the big dogs and not expect something in return, you are sadly mistaken.

It isn't JUST this incident,    It is an accumulation of incidents regarding Edwards. He has a problem with dealing with frustrations. You want to change things? Punch your crew chief, or your chief mechanic or your pit chief for not pulling their weight. and risk getting punched back. Nascars rules do not allow for bump drafting, or deliberately putting someone in the wall anymore. What he did was wrong with or without the rear wing adding to the excitement.

I don't really care if you are upset with someone. What he did was stupid and dangerous. Forget punching your crew chief. If you have a problem with someone, punch them. Whatever you do, do it outside the car, where you risk killing people.

They put him on 3 race probation.  The thing that surprises me the most is the team owners.  If my car was running 6th and someone came out of the pits 150 some laps down and tries to take my car out, would be pissed.  They have to race, if it is too restricted then you might as well have 80 yr. old on scooters, but the intentional wrecking a guy is crap.

To take it a step further, if NASCAR wants to maintain a hands off approach, why not "bump" someone on the first couple of laps and send them into the wall?  Less chance they will be in the way come the end of the race if you do it right.  Eliminate your competition right?  If you are fighting fair you are not fight smart right?  This is all said to make the point that at some point you have to say stop.  We all tune into the super speed ways with restrictor plates hoping to not miss THE BIG ONE, at least I do, adds to the fun.

I see a big difference from taking the air off of someones rear spoiler to loosen them up and make them lift compared to performing a PIT maneuver.

Some like to point back to Talledaga where Edwards went airborne as the point where these two started to not get along.  My take on that is NASCAR said that the yellow line there was inelastic.  If you went below it, you went back, and Keselowski was stuck on the line.  Edwards tried to block high and Keselowski went low.

Would like to see you be a front tire carrier for one of those teams............as long as it's not the one I'm rooting for. Then tell me those guys are not athletic. I've picked those tire/wheels up. They are HEAVY. Those guys throw them around like nothing.

i guess heavy is relative because to me they are light.but i run a wrecker at a small track,we see a few nascar drivers every year around the talladega races. the ones i have met are super nice.i would like too think they are the most fan accessible athletics out there.to me there are but two sports nascar and football.i'm a redneck and i  laughed at it.so i shared it with ya'll.

I think that a majority of them are great.  Most grew up "aw shucks" country boys that loved to race and moved up the ranks.  Problem is the turds always float to the top and the press loves to deal in sh*t.  Makes a better story.
